Warranty Policies

Dayco’s liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of, at its option, the repair or replacement of any product which is determined to be defective upon return to Dayco. Labor charges to be paid at 60$USD based on flat rate time established through OE repair guides. In order for this warranty to be valid, the Timing Chains must be professionally installed by a licensed repair shop or technician and the timing chain kit must be installed on an engine in good condition that is free from internal sludge and has a proper operating oil pump. You must provide a purchase and repair receipt when filing a claim. DIY warranty is 12 months/12,000 miles/19,300 kilometers and covers parts only. Transportation charges to be prepaid, with Dayco’s prior written authorization. This warranty does not apply to any product which has been improperly installed, maintained, or has been subjected to improper operation or use.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED ABOVE, DAYCO MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHETHER OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE, OR ON ANY PARTS OR LABOR FURNISHED DURING THE SALE, DELIVERY OR SERVICING OF THE PRODUCTS. IN NO EVENT SHALL DAYCO BE LIABLE TO BUYER FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR ANY CHARGES OR EXPENSES INCURRED WITHOUT DAYCO’S WRITTEN CONSENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL DAYCO’S LIABILITY UNDER ANY CLAIM MADE BY THE BUYER EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS. MANUFACTURER’S EXTENDED WARRANTY PROVIDED WHEN TIMING CHAIN IS INSTALLED WITH A DAYCO MANUFACTURED TIMING CHAIN COMPONENT KIT.

If a Dayco part failure occurs during the warranty period, (1) return all Dayco Manufactured Timing Chain and Dayco Manufactured Timing Chain Component Kit parts (2) the UPC panel from both the Dayco Manufactured Timing Chain(s) and Dayco Manufactured Timing Chain Component Kit packaging and (3) the sales receipt(s) for parts and or service including mileage at which replacement service was performed to: Dayco Incorporated 16000 Common Road Roseville, MI 48066 Attn: Claims Department.

Upon receipt, Dayco quality control personnel will inspect the parts to determine if failure is due to possible manufacturing error. If it is determined by Dayco that the timing chain(s) or timing chain kit components are defective and were properly installed on the timing chain system of vehicles other than those used for commercial or racing, Dayco will provide replacement Timing chain(s) and applicable Timing chain Component Kit at no charge. Note: Liability under any expressed or implied warranty is limited to replacement of such merchandise, in no event shall Dayco Incorporated be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Dayco Incorporated.

Dayco’s timing belt kit with water pump is designed for the most popular applications, ensuring that you have all the parts needed to perform a complete repair job. Dayco kits are designed to meet OEM specifications for passenger cars and light duty trucks. Each water pump is assembled using Programmable Logic Control (PLC), providing quality data during the manufacturing process. Additionally, each water pump features 100% new cast aluminum or iron material and meets TS16949 quality standards.

Effective October 15, 2020, when you purchase a Dayco timing belt kit with a water pump or a stand-alone Dayco water pump and register your purchase at aftna125k.dayco.com, will be covered for 125,000 miles (USA) or 201,000 kilometers (Canada). This extended warranty is contingent upon installation according the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) service instructions including flushing cooling system and installing new coolant that meets OEM specifications.

Warranty returns are not accepted from outside U.S. and Canadian territories. If, within one year of the purchase date, the Dayco POWER ATV or snowmobile belt you purchased fails, you can send it to our tech team and a replacement belt will be provided (if it meets the criteria noted in belt failure inspection).

To be considered a valid claim, , the following steps are required:

• Contact [email protected] with details of the issue experienced. Include clear photos of the failed belt, a copy of the purchase receipt, as well as the year make, model of the machine it was used on.
• If Dayco personnel decide the belt should be returned for further inspection, a shipping label will be sent to the consumer. In this instance, a replacement will only be sent once a failed belt is received.

Belt Failure Inspection

Upon receipt of the failed item photos and accompanying documents, Dayco quality control personnel will conduct a thorough inspection. This warranty will not apply to any product which has been improperly installed or maintained, or that has been subjected to improper operation or use. If it is determined by Dayco, to its satisfaction, that the belt is defective or that the belt was properly installed on the correct machine, with the drive system in good repair and the belt was not intentionally cut, damaged or used for commercial purposes or racing, Dayco will provide a replacement belt. Manufacturer’s extended warranty provided when timing belt is installed with a dayco manufactured timing belt component kit

When a Dayco manufactured timing belt(s) and all items contained within the applicable Dayco manufactured timing belt component kit are installed at the same time, Dayco will extend the warranty of the parts to meet the automobile manufacturer’s original timing belt mileage replacement interval.  If no recommended replacement interval is indicated, usual trade practice calls for replacement at 60,000 miles (USA) or 96,000 kilometers (Canada).

If a Dayco part failure occurs before the mileage replacement interval, (1) return all Dayco manufactured timing belts and Dayco manufactured timing belt component kt parts (2) the UPC panel from both the Dayco Manufactured Timing Belt(s) and Dayco Manufactured Timing Belt Component Kit packaging and (3) the sales receipt(s) for parts and or service including mileage at which replacement service was performed to:
